I co-conceptualized the multiple drafts feature alongside Anoop Sinha to simplify the regeneration process, making Gemini more effective for creative and writing use cases. It directly addressed a common behavior we observed, users repeatedly regenerating responses to explore alternatives. Originally intended as a temporary solution, it became a hero feature that remained in the product for over a year and still exists in the mobile experience. The work also led to two awarded patents.
